We schedule blog hops, reviews from start to finish, track analytics on social networks, find viable and reputable locations online for authors to be guests, schedule promotional workshops (mainly for ourselves to maximize our abilities), set up various chats, etc- the list goes on and on. So to blatantly say 'not to rely on your publisher' is incorrect.
